# Deals & Pipeline Overview

The Deals module tracks active sales opportunities through a visual, drag-and-drop pipeline.

## How to Open Deals

Go to **Hive CRM → Deals**.

## Pipeline Board

Deals are displayed on a Kanban-style board, organized into **Stages** (for example Proposal Sent, Negotiation, Won) that belong to a **Pipeline**. You can drag a deal card from one stage to the next as it progresses.

A **List view** is also available for a sortable, searchable table of every deal.

## Pipelines

A pipeline represents a distinct sales flow — for example, you might run separate pipelines for Enterprise Sales, Direct Subscriptions, and Agency Retainers, each with its own set of stages. Pipelines and stages are fully customizable — see [Deal Pipeline Settings](deal-pipeline-settings.md).

## Win Probability and Forecasting

Each stage has a configurable **Win Probability** percentage. HiveCRM uses this alongside each deal's value to calculate a weighted pipeline revenue figure, shown on the main [HiveCRM Dashboard](hivecrm-dashboard.md).

## Where Deals Come From

Deals are created either directly, or by converting a qualified lead — see [Managing Leads](managing-leads.md). Converting a lead carries its contact information into the new deal automatically.

## When Should You Use Deals?

Use the Deals module once a prospect is an active sales opportunity you're actively working — as opposed to Leads, which is for prospects that haven't been qualified yet.
