# Estimates & Invoices Settings

This screen configures currency, tax, numbering, and reminder behavior for estimates and invoices.

## How to Open These Settings

Go to **Hive CRM → Settings → Estimates & Invoices**. The screen has three tabs: **Currency & Tax Rates**, **Estimates & Quotes**, and **Invoices & Automation**.

## Currency & Tax Rates

- **Currency & Regional Formatting** — choose your store currency (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, INR, SGD, and more) and regional language formatting.
- **Tax Calculation Policy** — enable **Line-Item Specific Taxes** if different products/services need different tax treatment on the same document.
- **Tax Rates & Surcharges** — add named tax rates (for example "VAT 20%" or "State Tax") as either a percentage or a fixed amount.
- **Quantity Units & Measurement Types** — define the units available for line items (for example Hours, Units, License).

## Estimates & Quotes

- **Estimate Number Prefix** — the prefix used for every estimate's identifier (for example `EST-1042`).
- **Expiration & Client Reminders** — enable **Automatic Expiration Reminders** and set how many days before (and after) expiry a reminder is sent.

## Invoices & Automation

- **Invoice Number Prefix** — the prefix used for every invoice's identifier (for example `INV-1042`).
- **Invoice Due Date Reminders** — configure automatic reminders sent before and after an invoice's due date.
- **Recurring Invoices & Subscriptions** — enable **Recurring Invoice Engine** to allow recurring billing schedules, choose the billing **Interval**, and optionally enable **Auto-Send** so each generated invoice is emailed to the client automatically.
