# Services & Packages Overview

The Services & Packages module lets you build a catalog of fixed-price service packages that clients can order, either through the CRM or through a public checkout.

## How to Open Packages

Go to **Hive CRM → Packages**.

## Packages, Orders, and Service Requests

The module tracks three related record types:

- **Packages** — the catalog items you sell (for example "Starter Website Package" or "Monthly SEO Retainer"), each moving through its own lifecycle status.
- **Orders** — created when a client purchases or is assigned a package, tracked through order progression stages.
- **Service Requests** — requests a client submits related to a service, tracked through their own status workflow.

All three have fully customizable statuses — see [Service & Package Settings](service-package-settings.md).

## Public Checkout

If enabled, HiveCRM can accept package purchases through a public checkout, using the payment methods you've configured — PayPal, Stripe, or bank/wire transfer.

## When to Use Services & Packages

Use this module when you sell productized, fixed-price services rather than (or alongside) project-based or hourly work billed through estimates and invoices.
