Hive Plugins is built by the same team behind WPCommerz, a WordPress product company founded in 2020 and acquired in 2026. Here's the story so far.
From WPCommerz to Hive Plugins
Hive Plugins didn't start as a new idea, it started as a continuation. In 2020, we founded WPCommerz to build WordPress products that actually solved problems for store owners and site builders, not just added another plugin to an already crowded space.
Over the next few years, that focus turned into real products: Darklup and WP Guidant in 2021, wcEazy in 2022, and Hive Support in 2024. Each one was built the same way, by listening to what WordPress users actually needed, then building it properly.
In 2026, WPCommerz was acquired by TheInnovs, a milestone that validated years of work, but also left us wanting to keep building. Hive Plugins is that next chapter, the same standards, the same attention to detail, applied to a new set of products.

I'm Shahin, the founder of Hive Plugins. Before this, I founded WPCommerz, a WordPress product company I built from 2020 to 2026. Under my leadership, WPCommerz shipped four plugins used by real businesses, Darklup, WP Guidant, wcEazy, and Hive Support, before being acquired by TheInnovs in 2026. I'm now applying that same experience to Hive Plugins, focused on building tools that are simple to use and genuinely useful.
