EasyCoupon Troubleshooting #
Use this guide to diagnose common EasyCoupon issues with installation, automatic coupons, generated coupons, URL Coupons, and BOGO Deals.
EasyCoupon is not available in WordPress #
Check the following:
- EasyCoupon is installed from Plugins.
- EasyCoupon is activated.
- Your site meets the required WordPress and PHP versions.
- WooCommerce is installed and active.
After activation, you should see EasyCoupon in the WordPress admin menu.
Auto Apply Coupon is not applying a coupon #
Being listed in Auto Apply does not force a coupon onto every cart. EasyCoupon checks the coupon against the current WooCommerce cart before applying it.
Check:
- The coupon is published.
- The coupon has not expired.
- The cart meets the coupon’s minimum or maximum spend rules.
- The cart contains eligible products or categories when restrictions are configured.
- Usage limits have not been reached.
- The coupon is not otherwise invalid for the current customer or cart.
If a URL Coupon with Force Apply is being processed, it can take priority over Auto Apply for that request.
Generated coupons are not working #
Open the generated coupon in WooCommerce and check its discount type, amount, expiry, restrictions, and usage limits. EasyCoupon creates generated coupons as standard WooCommerce coupons, so their normal WooCommerce rules still apply.
A URL Coupon does not apply #
Check these points:
- The URL Coupon is active for the coupon.
- The coupon itself is valid.
- The customer has products in the cart.
- The coupon has not expired or reached its usage limits.
EasyCoupon requires a product in the cart before a URL coupon can be applied. If the cart is empty, the customer is sent to the shop page with an error notice.
A URL Coupon redirects to the cart #
This is the normal default behavior when no custom redirect URL is configured. EasyCoupon redirects to the WooCommerce cart after processing the URL coupon.
BOGO Deal is not triggering #
Check the BOGO rule’s Products to Buy entries and required quantities. The customer’s cart must satisfy all configured buy conditions before the rule is triggered.
Also verify that the gift product and gift quantity are configured correctly and that the rule has been saved.
BOGO gift pricing looks incorrect #
Review the rule’s Discount Type and Discount Amount. EasyCoupon supports percentage and fixed discounts for the gift portion of a BOGO rule.
For a percentage discount, the configured percentage is applied to the gift product price. For a fixed discount, the configured amount is deducted from the gift product price.
EasyCoupon Pro features are missing #
EasyCoupon Pro depends on EasyCoupon Free. Make sure:
- EasyCoupon Free is installed and active.
- EasyCoupon Pro is installed and active.
- Your Pro license is valid if the requested feature requires license validation.
After updating WordPress or WooCommerce #
If EasyCoupon behaves unexpectedly after an update, first confirm that EasyCoupon, WordPress, and WooCommerce are using supported versions. Then test the affected feature with a simple coupon or promotion to identify whether the issue is specific to a coupon rule or the broader integration.
Before contacting support #
Include:
- EasyCoupon version
- EasyCoupon Pro version, if installed
- WordPress version
- WooCommerce version
- The affected EasyCoupon feature
- The coupon or promotion settings involved
- The exact behavior or error message
Avoid sharing customer passwords, payment information, API keys, or other private credentials.
