This article covers creating, moving, and closing deals in HiveCRM.
Create a Deal #
- Go to Hive CRM → Deals.
- Click Add Deal.
- Fill in the deal’s title, value, contact, pipeline, and stage.
- Click Save.
If you’ve configured a Default Sales Pipeline and Default Initial Stage under Deal Pipeline Settings, those are pre-filled automatically.
Move a Deal Through Your Pipeline #
- From the Kanban board, drag the deal card into a different stage column.
- From the deal’s detail page or the List view, edit the deal and change its Stage field.
Switch Between Pipelines #
If you use more than one pipeline, use the pipeline filter on the Deals screen to switch which pipeline’s board you’re viewing.
Assign a Deal to a Staff Member #
Open the deal and set its assigned staff member so the right person on your team owns it. Staff assignment also drives notifications — see Notifications Settings.
Attach Notes and Files #
A deal’s detail page supports notes and file attachments, useful for keeping proposals, call notes, and other context attached to the opportunity.
Win or Lose a Deal #
Move the deal into your pipeline’s closing stage (for example “Won” or “Lost”) to mark its outcome. Winning a deal is typically the point where you’d create a Project or Invoice for the client.
Delete a Deal #
Open the deal and click the delete action, then confirm. Deleted deals are moved to Trash and can be restored before being permanently removed.
