HiveCRM supports collecting online payment on invoices and package orders through PayPal, Stripe, bank/wire transfer, and WooCommerce.
How to Open Payment Gateway Settings #
Go to Hive CRM → Settings → Payment Gateways.
PayPal #
- Under PayPal Gateway Configuration, enter your Client ID and Secret from your PayPal Developer Dashboard.
- Click Save PayPal Credentials.
- Toggle Enable PayPal Gateway to allow clients to settle invoices and purchase packages via PayPal Express Checkout.
- To verify incoming payment webhooks are genuinely from PayPal, create a webhook in your PayPal Developer Dashboard pointing at
https://yoursite.com/wp-json/hive-crm/v1/payments/webhook, then paste the resulting Webhook ID into HiveCRM.
You can verify your credentials any time with Verify Client ID & Secret against PayPal OAuth API.
Stripe #
- Under Stripe Gateway Configuration, choose Test or Live mode.
- Enter your Publishable Key and Secret Key for that mode.
- Enter your Webhook Secret (from your Stripe Dashboard’s webhook configuration).
- Click Test Connection to verify your secret key against the Stripe Balance API.
- Click Save Stripe Credentials, then toggle Enable Stripe Gateway.
Stripe payments use Stripe Elements v3 for secure, PCI-compliant card collection.
Bank / Wire Transfer #
Under Bank / Wire Transfer, enter your account instructions (bank name, account number, routing details, or any other information clients need to pay by wire). Click Save Bank Instructions — clients then see these instructions as a manual payment option on their invoice.
WooCommerce Checkout Bridge #
If your site runs WooCommerce, HiveCRM can route invoice payments through your existing WooCommerce cart, taxes, and installed payment plugins instead of (or alongside) PayPal/Stripe.
- Under WooCommerce Checkout Bridge, confirm WooCommerce shows as Active (install and activate WooCommerce first if it shows as not detected).
- Toggle Route Invoices through WooCommerce Checkout.
When enabled, clicking Pay Online on a public invoice sends the client through your WooCommerce checkout flow instead of a direct PayPal/Stripe form.
