This article walks through enabling and configuring what clients can see and do in their Client Portal.
How to Open Client Portal Settings #
Go to Hive CRM → Settings → Client Portal.
Add the Portal to a Page #
Create or choose a WordPress page (for example “My Account”) and add the shortcode:
[hive_crm_portal]
Anywhere this shortcode appears, a logged-in client sees their personal portal dashboard instead of the page’s normal content.
Visible Sections #
Under Visible Sections, toggle which parts of the portal are shown to clients:
- Deals — show the client their deals and estimated value.
- Projects — show the client their active and past projects.
- Invoices — show the client their estimates and invoices, with secure view links.
- Support Tickets — show the client their support tickets and conversation history.
Support Ticket Permissions #
Under Support Ticket Permissions, control what clients can do with tickets:
- Allow Submitting New Tickets — clients can open a new support ticket directly from the portal.
- Allow Replying to Tickets — clients can reply on their own ticket threads. Staff-only internal notes are always hidden from the portal, regardless of this setting.
Dashboard Welcome Message #
Use the Dashboard Welcome Message field to add an optional note shown at the top of the client’s portal dashboard — useful for announcements or instructions.
Save Your Changes #
Click Save Portal Settings to apply your configuration. Changes take effect immediately for all clients.
