Coupon Generator Overview #
EasyCoupon includes a Coupon Generator that lets you create multiple WooCommerce coupons at once instead of creating each coupon manually.
The generated coupons are saved as standard WooCommerce coupons, so you can use the discount settings, restrictions, and usage limits supported by WooCommerce.
Open the Coupon Generator #
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to EasyCoupon → Dashboard.
- Open Coupon Generator.
- Configure the number and format of the coupon codes.
- Configure the coupon’s discount and usage settings.
- Click Generate Coupons.

The Free version provides these code-generation settings.

The Usage restriction section lets you control where and when the generated coupons can be used.

- Minimum spend
- Maximum spend
- Individual use only
- Exclude sale items
- Products
- Exclude products
- Product categories
- Exclude categories
- Allowed emails
These settings are applied to the generated WooCommerce coupons.
Configure usage limits #
The Usage limits section provides controls for limiting coupon usage.
Available settings include:
- Usage limit per coupon
- Limit usage to X items
- Usage limit per user
Use these settings when generated codes need to be restricted by total usage, item quantity, or individual customer usage.
Generate the coupons #
After configuring the code format, discount, restrictions, and limits:
- Review the settings.
- Click Generate Coupons.
- EasyCoupon creates the requested WooCommerce coupons.
- A result message shows how many coupons were generated.
- Use Export as CSV from the result popup if you need a CSV copy of the generated coupon codes.
What happens to generated coupons? #
EasyCoupon creates the generated codes as WooCommerce shop_coupon entries. They are not temporary EasyCoupon-only codes.
This means the generated coupons can be managed as WooCommerce coupons after creation, including their discount configuration and usage restrictions.
Free version and Pro options #
The Free version provides the core coupon-generation workflow described above.
The Coupon Generator interface also contains additional options that are available when the EasyCoupon Pro addon is active, including:
- Prefix — add a prefix to generated coupon codes.
- Coupon Type — additional Pro code-format controls.
EasyCoupon Pro works as an addon to the Free plugin; it does not replace the Free plugin.
Example use cases #
The Coupon Generator is useful when you need to create a batch of unique codes for campaigns such as:
- Customer-specific promotions
- Limited-use discount campaigns
- Marketing campaigns
- Event or seasonal promotions
- Bulk promotional codes
Instead of creating every coupon individually, configure the generation rules once and create the required batch in one operation.
