Settings > Email footer sets the words, social links and style of the footer Hive Mail adds to your marketing emails. A live preview updates as you type (about half a second after you stop). You need the permission Manage settings. What the footer is and why every marketing email needs one: The email footer and the unsubscribe link.

The footer is built in a fixed order: your own text, your business name and address, the social-links row, then "You are receiving this email because you subscribed." with Unsubscribe and, when it applies, Manage preferences. The unsubscribe sentence and link text are fixed. The page the link opens has its own wording in Settings: Compliance.
One save bar at the bottom saves everything on the screen ("Footer saved").
What it says #
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Business name | The name printed in the footer. Same setting as in Settings: General. | Empty (prints the site name) |
| Business address | The postal address after the name. Same setting as in General. Hive Mail will not send a campaign without one. | Empty |
| Your own text | A short text above the name and address. Merge tags work, for example {{site_name}}. Same setting as in Compliance. |
Empty |
| Show "Manage preferences" | Adds the link to the preferences page. Only useful while you have a public list. Same setting as in Compliance. | On |
Social links #
Shown as a row of text links ("Follow us:") above the unsubscribe line, and as Label: address lines in the plain-text version. Leave a box empty to leave it out. Each box takes a full web address starting with https://; a wrong one blocks saving until you fix or empty it.
Website, Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok. All empty by default.
Style #
The defaults equal the footer Hive Mail always used, so nothing changes until you change a control.
| Setting | Default | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Text size (px) | 12 | 10 to 18 |
| Line height | 1.5 | 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 or 1.8 |
| Alignment | Centre | Left, Centre, Right |
| Text colour | #6b7280 |
Any colour |
| Colour the links / Link colour | Off / #5539fb |
Link colour appears when switched on; otherwise each mail program picks its own. |
| Line above the footer / Line colour | On / #e5e7eb |
|
| Background colour / Background | Off / #f3f4f6 |
|
| Space above (px) | 24 | 0 to 64 |
| Space inside (px) | 16 | 0 to 48 |
Reset to the default look puts the style controls back to these values. It does not touch the words or social links and does not save by itself. Under the preview, open Plain-text version to read the text twin.

Where it applies #
The new look applies to emails sent from now on, in campaigns and in flow emails sent as marketing. It does not apply to:
- An email whose design has its own Footer block, or a Classic or HTML design with its own unsubscribe link. That footer stays as designed, without the social links.
- Transactional emails, which carry no footer.
- Emails made in the Plain text editor.
Warning: Do not give the unsubscribe link a colour close to the background. People who cannot find it mark your email as spam.
